This piece incorporates the age old game of Chess, as a metaphor for the passing of time. Notice the board beneath the lush landscape. Some of the pieces lay amongst the land, now out of use and overgrown. It appears the man on the board is leading the horse off of the board. The wine bottle stands in the distance, now empty. Take time to recognize the aged faces lost among the brightly colored sky.
