It’s that time of year again!

Nothing breathes love and life into our souls quite like a beautiful flower blooming the in the springtime. These magical wonders grace us every year and remind us of God’s beautiful work.

Victor Bregeda recognizes this beauty and has the ability to relay their magic upon canvas.

Did you know that lilacs are Victor’s favorite flower? You will see them pop of in much of his work.

In his painting entitled, Lavender Dreams, Victor shows how beautiful images are linked to each other and are continually flowing and shifting.

Seen here are the forms of the lilacs, transitioning into images of a horse and a parrot. The small, white butterflies bring thoughts of lightness and the freedom of flight.

Lilacs are also a beloved Russian flower of springtime, and are a personal favorite of Victor’s, as previously mentioned. This particular painting is titled directly after them.

Lilacs are associated with having survived the harsh, Russian winter, and embracing the fragrant blossoming of springtime.

This painting conveys the sense of joy experienced after going through difficult times and finally arriving to a place of beauty, ease, and freedom.

In the lower right, we see that multicolored butterflies have been released from a dark drawer to find comfort amongst the flowers.

Victor portrays himself upon the tabletop where he too he enjoys the lilacs.

We see from the ladder leading to his location that he has had a steep climb to arrive at this peaceful place.

Victor appears small in comparison to the two forces that he is observing- the lilacs, and the butterflies.

We see that Victor depicts himself as working on his self-portrait (painting on easel). He is taking a break from his work to clench a bouquet of lilacs for the woman that holds his heart.

Our next painting is titled Lovely, Lively Lilies and is a definite change of pace from the previous two artworks.

Here, Victor takes us on a trip to another planet. It is in this place where the ground has formed from his art supplies- notice the tubes of paint and wooden palette.

Instead of trees, there stands a collection of easels in the distance. Nectar pours from the lovely lilies and forms exquisite, translucent women.  This usage is one of the most powerful aspects of the painting.

Victor’s emblem is planted in the ground, demonstrating his artistic domain. The artist’s pencil is poised over a blank sheet of paper, ready for Victor to unleash his creative genius.

In a more romantic turn of events, we are introduced to Moonlight Sonata. This amorous artwork details the makings of a perfect evening.

Make it an evening where the moon shines bright upon your face as you become lost in the sounds of mellifluous music. You become entranced by your emotion and allow yourself to soar.

We look closer to find two, large bouquets of roses. These are the ultimate token of love and adoration.

A woman in love sits down to her piano. Her heart is full as she becomes lost in this moment of love.

She is surrounded by all that is beautiful and allows herself to drift from elation.

In this moment, she is completely satisfied.

Though each of these paintings present different ideas, they all share one common theme- beauty.

Whether being used as a turning of the season or as a gesture of love, they are positively impacting those who are being exposed.
