Narrow Gate was recently on display at the Museum of Biblical Art in Dallas, TX.

Depiction of the Savior is a dear subject for Victor Bregeda. This artwork is based on Matthew 7:13 – “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”

The eyes of the Lord are cutting deep into the soul, “I am the way and the truth and the life…” The light is bursting out of the gate. New life is a precious gift, but we must cross the line to obtain it.

This painting draws a parallel with Bregeda’s earlier work, Leonardo’s Dream. However, this one is bigger in size and even more powerful.
