The central image in Communion is the illuminated figure of Christ surrounded by figures of the apostles. The smaller, separate figure represents the act of repentance before partaking in Communion. The Bible and the candle symbolize God’s word and His light. On the table, we see the bread and chalice of wine. The image of God the Father is showing through the clouds.
